I've had the Kingslayer title for awhile now, thanks to Blizzard deciding to do away with different titles for the 10 and 25 man achievements. Ah well, such is life and the catering to the desires of the casual player.
Alas, the epic saga leading up to the 25 Man Lich King kill was just that... Epic. Departed dealt with drama, the attendance boss, forum rants, and lots of recruiting! It was difficult for awhile, morale was down and it seemed like we were taking a turn for the worst. Our server rank went down, core raiders started burning out and not showing up, there was a plague of locusts, and everything was on fire. Finally, thanks to a change in strategy and extending our ICC 25 man lockout we killed him Tuesday, June 1st 2010 with a raid made of some of our best raiders, alts, offspecs and applicants.
To commemorate this great accomplishment my friend, guildmate, officer and probably one of the best raid leaders ever, Valcana, frapsed the kill and crafted an amazingly EPIC video. This isn't just some fraps with vent chat over a crappy Staind song. This is art! Ok, maybe it's not art but the ending is worth the 15+ minutes you'll spend watching us kill the Lich King.
Mmmm.. I'm tee-heeing inside just thinking about it. Valc also submitted the uncut full-length video to warcraftmovies.com, he's still awaiting their approval. Kudos to Valc for putting so much time and effort into refining a boring old boss kill into something actually entertaining.
